To Sun, we salute

Salute the Sun
In twelve bright ways,
O dear one,
With morning's rays.

Stand tall, pray,
Reach up high,
Touch your toes,
Look to the sky.

Mountain pose,
Belly to the floor,
Like Cobra rise,
Stretch once more.

Back to mountain,
Big step ahead,
Touch your toes,
As morning spreads.

Reach up high,
Then pray again,
O Sun in the sky,
Your grace we gain.

The real beauty

The real beauty of our hands,
Lies not in bangles bright,
But in sharing with the poor,
And spreading joy and light.

What suits our eyes the most,
Is not the mascara's hue,
But in glances full of mercy,
That show a heart so true.

What adorns lips the best,
Is not a shiny gloss,
But healing words that comfort,
In times of pain or loss.

The real beauty of our ears,
Is not in earrings' shine,
But in listening to wisdom,
From the learned, so divine.

Our bodies glow with virtue,
Not by creams and oils anew,
But by helping others,
In all we say and do.

The Vitthala dance

Come, come, gather round,
Let’s do the Vitthal dance,
Hands on waists, joy is found,
Fill our hearts, take a chance.

Think of Tuka, Namdev too,
Janabai and Gyandev true.
Eknath's wisdom, shining bright,
Dance with joy and hearts so light.

Vitthala, Vitthala, we sing,
Pandurang's love, joy we bring.
Round and round, in a trance,
Join us in the Vitthal dance.

Kabaddi, Kabaddi

Come, come, O dear buddy
Let's all play Kabaddi.
In every game, feeling giddy,
We find joy in Kabaddi.

Holding hands so tightly,
Playing strong and rightly.
With hearts brave and sturdy,
We cheer for Kabaddi.

Chanting "Kabaddi, Kabaddi,"
We run and tag.
With courage and teamwork,
Never do we lag.

In the game of Kabaddi,
We learn to be steady.
Our culture, our pride

Every game, we're ready.

The Sunflower's Secret

Sunflower, sunflower, bright and tall,
Always looking at the sun’s call.
Morning, noon, and evening too,
Sunflower, we learn from you.

Rain may fall, and winds may blow,
Yet to the sun, your face will show.
Teaching us to always see,
Shri Krishna, our guide to be.

Focus on Him, day and night,
In His love, we find our light.
Sunflower, sunflower, pure and true,
Krishna’s love will see us through.

The tiny squirrel

Tiny squirrel, brown and small,
Eager to serve Ram, above all.
With warriors strong, and boulders high,
He had a little sand to try.

He dipped in water, rolled in sand,
Took tiny grains from the great land.
Before the bridge, he went with glee,
Dropping sand for all to see.

Rama saw, with a gleam in his eye,
The squirrel's work, as time went by.
"Every bit helps," he said with love,
Blessing the squirrel from above.

The little deeds matter, this is clear,
In Rama's eyes, pure acts endear.
Tiny squirrel, with heart so grand,
Left his mark upon the land.

The sacred sign

Before we start,
A special mark,
A swastika bright,
To light the dark.

Mark of fortune,
Cosmic flow,
All is well
You let us know.

The sacred sign,
So pure and fine,
Brings good luck,
Every time.

On every door,
On every wall,
The swastika shines,
To bless us all.

Four arms spread wide,
To every side.
In you, we see,
Vedic truths reside.

On festivals,
We draw with care,
The swastika’s power,
Everywhere.

A mark of hope,
A mark of cheer,
The swastika’s blessings,
Always near.

Scrolls of the Earth, Quills of Trees

If all the earth were turned to scrolls,
And every tree to quills,
If oceans vast were ink in bowls,
And all joined to fulfill.

If every hand penned day and night,
With open hearts aglow and pure,
Still, Shri Hari’s glories bright,
Would far outshine and still endure.

Who are you, O image boy?
(Inspired from Surdas's song)
Mother, oh mother,
Come and see
A naughty image boy,
Who's teasing me.

I try to catch him,
But he slips away,
I tell him to leave,
But he wants to play.

When I get angry,
He mirrors my frown,
Mother, come quick,
Let's chase him down.

He'll eat all the butter,
From our pots so high,
Let's do something quickly,
O mother, don't sigh!

And Yashoda looked,
At Krishna so bright,
Filled with pure joy,
In the morning light.

Who are you, O image boy?
So naughty but sweet,
In your playful charm,
My heart skips a beat.

Melody of Bharat

From times old, the sounds arise,
Music that's rich, so divine and wise.

Saraswati plucks her Veena's strings,
While Krishna's flute, its magic rings
Lord Shiva's Damru goes tap-tap-tap,
We blow the conch, and clap-clap-clap.

Mridanga's beats, so sweet and bold,
Cymbals join in as the sounds unfold.
With every note, we sing and play,
Our heritage shines, bright each day.

Together we form a happy band,
Playing the tunes of Bharat's land.

Ankle Bells
(Inspired by song 'Thumak Chalat Ramchandra' by Sant Tulasidas, Tune: Jingle Bells)

Ankle bells, Ankle bells,
Tinkling all the way,
Oh, what joy, oh, what love,
In Rama’s gentle play!

Little Rama, Little Rama,
hear his anklets ring,
As he toddles, as he giggles,
what joy he does bring!

Giggling all the way,
Rama runs so fast,
Tumbles to the ground,
But he smiles at last!
Queens rush to his side,
With love so sweet and true,
Dusting off the sand,
Whispering, "We love you!"

Ankle bells, Ankle bells,
Tinkling all the way,
Oh, what joy, oh, what love,
In Rama’s gentle play!

Little Rama, Little Rama,
hear his anklets ring,
As he toddles, as he giggles,
what joy he does bring!

Lips as red as rose,
A smile that warms the heart,
Queens hold him close,
Never to be apart.
His nose ring gleams bright,
As he plays and twirls,
Rama's face, a lotus pure,
In this world of pearls.

Ankle bells, Ankle bells,
Tinkling all the way,
Oh, what joy, oh, what love,
In Rama’s gentle play!

Little Rama, Little Rama,
hear his anklets ring,
As he toddles, as he giggles,
what joy he does bring!

All the queens adore,
in their hearts they know,
No one like Rama,
wherever they go.

Ankle bells, Ankle bells,
Tinkling all the way,
Oh, what joy, oh, what love,
In Rama’s gentle play!

Little Rama, Little Rama,
hear his anklets ring,
As he toddles, as he giggles,
what joy he does bring!

The divine lotus

Petals soft, a pink delight,
Shining in the morning light.

Lotus teaches, pure and true,
Even in mud, be good as new.

Vishnu holds it in his hand,
Blessing all across the land.

Brahma on a lotus blooms,
Creating worlds, dispelling gloom.

Lakshmi sits with grace serene,
On a lotus, calm and keen.

When Gajendra, in despair,
Offered a lotus with a prayer.

Lord Hari came to save the day,
The lotus showed him the way.

Father, tell me a tale of tail

Father, tell me a tale of tail,
How Hanuman did never fail,
On any mission that he took,
With his strength and mighty look.

How he defeated countless foes,
The reason prime for all their woes.
With his mighty tail so strong,
He burnt Lanka, righted wrong.

How he crushed the Ashoka Park,
Taught a lesson to the demons dark.
Found Ma Sita beneath the trees,
Gave her hope, her heart at ease.

From these tales of deeds so bright,
Father, share his courage and might.
What can I learn from Hanuman’s story,
Of faith, devotion and timeless glory?

Wow! The perfect design

Father, how does water rise,
Inside a coconut so high?
How does a tree from a seed small,
Grow so big and strong and tall?

How does a cow eat simple grass,
And give us milk, pure in a glass?
Bees collect nectar from flowers bright,
And turn it into honey, golden light.

Father, these wonders make me smile,
God's creations are worthwhile.
From the skies to the earth below,
God's love is there in every show.

Mother and Motherland

Rama told to Lakshmana, dear,
"Golden Lanka, I don't hold near.
Mother and motherland, so grand,
Are dearer than heaven's own land."

Wherever you go, near or far,
Rama's words, your guiding star.
No one like mother, warm with grace,
No place like our beloved birthplace.

The river and the ocean

I am the ocean,
With water so salty,
The beauty of the design,
Of God almighty.

I am the river,
With water so sweet,
Taken by birds,
Who sing as they tweet.

I am the ocean,
Vast and wide,
Home to creatures,
In the deep I hide.

I am the river,
Flowing with grace,
Nurturing life,
In every place.

I am the ocean,
Powerful and grand,
Waves that dance,
Upon the sand.

I am the river,
Gentle and kind,
Giving fresh water,
To all who find.

My mother’s kitchen

My mother's kitchen,
Is a treasure trove,
She says, good food,
Is the medicine of love.

Watching her mix spices,
With such pure delight,
Her hands create magic,
From morning to night.

Every dish she makes,
Is yummy and tasty,
Made with love,
Never rushed or hasty.

Her meals bring us closer,
With each bite we share,
"Your meal's a blessing,
Beyond compare."

Heroes of Human Kindness
Bharat is a land of love and care,
Where hearts are kind and rare.

King Shibi gave his body whole,
To save a pigeon, the poor soul.

Sage Dadhichi, grave and kind,
Gave his bones for all mankind.

Rantideva gave up his own meal,
So others' hunger he could heal.

Buddha, Mahavira, both so wise,
Taught us kindness never dies.

To the poor and those in pain,
Mercy flows like gentle rain.

Let's be kind to one and all,
Big or tiny, short or tall.

Speak with love and gentle tone,
Let mercy in our hearts be known.

Please be by my side

God, please be by my side,
With your love as my guide.
May I never forget your grace,
In every moment, in every place.

Lead me from untruth to truth,
Guide my steps, my heart, my youth.
From darkness, bring me into light,
Stay with me through day and night.

From death to eternal life,
Hold my hand in joy and strife.
God, please be by my side,
With your love as my guide.

Am I special?

I am special,
Look at me,
You are special,
And so is she.

We are special,
One and all,
To Him who is,
The source of all.

From Him alone,
Flows love for all,
He treats us same,
Big or small.

So very special,
Yes, it's He.
Let’s bow to Him,
You and me!

Himalaya

Himalaya: so tall and grand,
Teaches lessons across the land.
Standing firm, reaching high,
Touching clouds in the sky.

Snow so white, pure and clean,
Its rivers flow, fresh and serene.
Blessing fields, for grains to grow,
Bringing life to lands below.

Nature's beauty, big and small,
We must love and care for all.
Trees and animals, all around,
In the Himalaya, they are found.

Sages find their quiet home,
In the Himalaya, where they roam.
Meditate and learn to be,
Filled with calm and harmony.

Children, listen, learn, behold,
Himalaya's worth, a tale untold.
Reach for dreams, aim so high,
Like the Himalaya in the sky.

The book friend

O dear child, come close and see,
I'm your friend, as true can be.
In times of joy, in times of fear,
I'll guide your path, always near.

Keep me safe, don't let me tear,
From oil or water, handle with care.
My pages love your gentle touch,
Protect my binding, love me much.

In wise hands, I wish to stay,
To fools, never let me go astray.
With each page, I'll share much more,
To help your mind and spirit soar.

The thread of love
O my dear brother, strong and true,
This thread I tie, just for you.
A bond of love, a prayer so bright,
To keep you safe, both day and night.

This sacred thread, of ancient lore,
First tied by Lakshmi, in days of yore,
On King Bali’s wrist, with love so deep,
And asked a promise, for him to keep.

Thank you, sweet sister, for your care,
Your love, your prayers, always there.
Like Vishnu’s grace on Bali so fine,
I know protection will be mine.

And, tell me now, with a playful grin,
What gift on earth do you wish to win?
A doll, a book, or something sweet?
Your loving wish, I’m ready to meet!

The art of giving

Rivers flow with water clear,
Not for them, but all who’re near,
Trees bear fruits, so sweet and fine,
Not for them, but yours and mine.

Clouds pour rain on fields below,
Helping crops and plants to grow,
Giving life, they seek no gain,
Teaching us to do the same.

Little hearts, learn this art,
Give with love, from the start,
For a life of love-filled living,
Is found in the art of giving.

Heroes of Truth

Truth, the path to God, we say,
Truth will never lead astray.

Harishchandra left his crown,
But never let truth fall down.

King Dashrath chose his son to part,
Yet truth remained within his heart.

Yudhisthira faced palace strife,
Truth he lived, his guide in life.

Shri Rama faced trials and strife,
Chose the truth through all his life.

In every word and every deed,
Truth is the path we all should heed.

I will live by truth each day,
In every word I choose to say.

Truth in thoughts and actions too,
In all I seek and all I do.

Come what may, I’ll hold it tight,
Truth will guide me day and night.

Vyasa and Valmiki

Vyasa wrote with wisdom bright,
Stories of truth and endless light.
Valmiki, the first poet known,
In his verses, beauty shone.

Father says they're the best,
Their wisdom stands the test.
One day I’ll read, learn, and see,
The wisdom they left for you and me.

The tale of a river

By Saraswati, a great land rose,
Full of stories and wise heroes.
From Himalaya, it drew its source,
But the river changed its course.

And, as the waters went dry,
My tale too, must bid goodbye.

Had the river stayed stronger,
My story would have been longer.

Health is wealth

In the morning, bright and fair,
Stretch and breathe the fresh, cool air.
Run and play, feel the breeze,
Health is wealth, as we can see.

Health is wealth, a treasure true,
Strong and happy, me and you.

Eat pure veggies, fruits each day,
Keeps the doctor far away.
Meals on time and water clean,
Health is wealth, as always seen.

Health is wealth, a treasure true,
Strong and happy, me and you.

Laugh and play, enjoy the sun,
Healthy habits, everyone.
When health is good, the path is clear
Dreams come true, nothing to fear.

Health is wealth, a treasure true,
Strong and happy, me and you.

A student’s path

A student's path, like ancient lore,
Is filled with virtues to explore.

Like a crow, they never quit,
Focused like a crane, bit by bit.

Sleep light as a dog, they stay,
Eating little, active each day.

Leaving home comforts behind,
Knowledge alone, they seek to find.
